Wasted Time

Wasting your time is nothing to be ashamed of. In fact I believe it's something that some of us should do more often. Time spent without some pressing objective or chasing some achievement is probably the simplest and most effective way for you to regain a little of the mental fortitude it takes for you to deal with life day-to-day, yet we are surrounded by the pressure to make optimal use of our every second.

If time be of all things the most precious, wasting time must be the greatest prodigality.
— Benjamin Franklin

Your time is yours to be enjoyed, and while wasting literally all of your time would be an incomparable personal tragedy, wasting some of it should be one of life's greatest pleasures. You'll probably find that the pleasant trivialities that you choose to fill that time can be surprisingly satisfying. If time is one of our most valuable resources, then it is also one of our greatest luxuries to be enjoyed occasionally for it's own sake.
