While media creators have the right to charge for their content, and deserve to be paid for their investment and their work, consumers also have the freedom to do business on terms of their preference. It is not the right of the content provider to attempt to force the consumer into a transaction which is unsuitable and unwanted. This is the intention of the Digital Economy Act: to require by law that you as a consumer bend to the desires of the companies involved; not that you pay for a service that you have evaluated.
