Warhammer 40,000

It's almost a decade since I last bought and painted a tabletop wargaming miniature.I used to play a lot as a kid (10-16 or so) and then played again for a while in my early twenties. The lack of other players (and a distaste for playing at the local Games Workshop) eventually led to waning enthusiasm. Now however a number of friends are playing on an almost predictably regular basis, and I'm getting interested again.

The game of choice is Warhammer 40,000 and the army I have settled upon is the Space Wolves. This is a bit of a challenge as a number of the interesting units available to the army have no off-the-shelf miniatures available, particularly those incorporating actual wolves. This means I'm going to have to do some conversion work, but I'm actually really looking forward to it. As I can borrow any of a number of armies in the meantime I can take as long as I need to get a force together.

I'll post some update photos (without spamming the blog too much) when I have something to show.
